My passion for cooking and baking began as far back as I can remember, with my Nan in her London kitchen. At 8 years old I had my first cookery book and there was no stopping me!
I trained professionally as a chef followed by 3 years at the London bakery school mastering in sugar craft and patisserie. Now, with over 40 years of cooking, baking and wedding cake design experience, I enjoy combining my passion for delicious food with my artistic flair to make your events simply delicious. I will happily, cater for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free diets.
In September 2019, my children having grown up, I relocated Wedding Events Angel to the beautiful Devon countryside and renovated The Folly. It is a boutique retreat set in the grounds of the Mamhead estate gate house, Forrest Gate, available for couples and honeymooners – a tranquil setting with views to the sea. I cater for guests at the Folly and specialise in small outside events and of course, wedding cakes. I am excited to be working alongside the stunning wedding venue, The Brickhouse Vineyard just down the road from The Folly.
If you would like to know more, please call or pop in for an informal chat and have tea and cake with me on The Folly veranda to discuss your requirements.
Sweet Wishes

Another amazing day provided by Wedding and Event Angel. The breakfast themed canapés, fruit smoothies and sweet treats were a huge hit with our guests and it was an exciting twist on a regular brunch, Carol never fails to disappoint and we are all looking forward to what she has in store for our next summer party !Jacci
Vintage afternoon tea for 10 people
Yet again Carol, this was a delicious and very generous spread of food. Thank you so much for this afternoon. We all had a truly amazing and magical timeTina
Just a quick note from Tess and myself to say a BIG THANK YOU for pulling the proverbial bunny out of a hat and delivering a lovely engagement cake!
Tess’s niece suitably over the moon and I think the silhouettes on the side of the cake of Max on one knee and Rachel holding the heart/balloons were inspired!!!!
We will no doubt be in touch for future baking needs albeit we hope to give you slightly more notice next time!!!!Tess and Matt
